Our history

Bank of Melbourne Foundation supports local charities and programs that deliver sustainable benefits to children and young people experiencing disadvantage.

The Foundation allocates cash grants in funding rounds with a focus on Victorian charities that receive little or no government funding.

Since launching in 2013, Bank of Melbourne Foundation has granted in excess of $6 million to charities across Victoria. With the generosity of Bank of Melbourne partners, suppliers, customers and dedicated staff, we have been able to grant funds to more than 190 Victorian charities who are delivering impactful programs addressing a variety issues that are affecting the lives of Victorians. Every single dollar we receive is given straight back to these charities. We believe that we can all make a difference in our local communities.

Bank of Melbourne Foundation is part of St.George Foundation. Donations to St.George Foundation are administered by St.George Foundation Limited as trustee for St George Foundation Trust (ABN 44 661 638 970). St George Foundation Trust is a Public Ancillary Fund, endorsed by the ATO as a Deductible Gift Recipient.

Currently, St.George Foundation adopts the Westpac Group Speaking Up Policy in dealing with whistleblowing disclosures. A copy of that policy can be viewed here. Some aspects of that policy may not be applicable in the operational environment of St.George Foundation. As such, St.George Foundation adopts the Westpac Group Speaking Up Policy to the extent reasonably possible.
